Five amazing Apple iWatch concepts you have to see!

It’s Apple’s worst kept secret: the tech giant is making a smartwatch to go with its hit iPhone. Now a new report from Bloomberg says that a 100 strong team is working on the potential iPod nano ouster for release later this year. But what might the fabled Apple iWatch look like? Check out these incredible fan concepts to get some idea.

It’s hard to believe, but Brett Jordan’s incredible Apple timepiece design is from all the way back in 2013, before Apple even announced its touchscreen iPod nano. This beautiful looker packs in the same aluminium frame design of the MacBook Pro and original iPad, as well as all the need to to know details (like weather), delivered to your wrist via Bluetooth. Despite its age, this packs the clean design and finger friendly UI we could see Apple adopt later this year.

Anders Kjellberg’s take stuffs in much more tech, with a super sharp Retina Display, an eight megapixel camera for Dick Tracy style FaceTime chats and even 16GB of built-in storage. As cool as that would be, we think Apple’s going to keep as much of the tech as possible in the iPhone you carry alongside it, to help keep the price down.

Esben Oxholm’s take on the Apple iWatch is a minimalist, Nike FuelBand-style affair with a curved glass screen. Given the reports we’ve seen so far, this sort of sleek, aerodynamic shape wouldn’t surprise – but would Sir Jony Ive really go and ruin it all with a gigantic home button underneath? We hope not.

Pavel Simeonov’s twist on the Apple iWatch is an interesting one – whoever said it had to be square? This Cupertino pocket clock takes the shape of the iPhone 5 and gently moulds it to the curve of your forearm. You just need to twist to roll through all the different options – there’s even a SIM card slot so it’ll work without an iPhone. Given shoppers’ reluctance to pay for more than one data contract a month, we reckon they’d rather pair over Bluetooth with their handset.

Another take on the iPhone 5 watch, Fuse Chicken’s design packs a quirky looking circular band which doesn’t quite touch. Is this the route Apple will go down? We’re not sure: Apple loves to sell accessories when it gets the chance, so you can bet it’ll have a line of clever “Smart Cover” style straps to go with it.
What do you think the Apple iWatch will look like? What will it do? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments below!
